1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Ride It Out ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Ride It Out is a mobile application that provides tools for building tolerance to discomfort through acceptance-based techniques. The App includes:
- Feel It: A timed session with a minimal interface designed for sitting with discomfort.
- Breathe It: A breathing pacer with guided breathing patterns.
- Face It: Acceptance-based messages for moments of acute distress.
The App is a self-help tool. It is not a medical device, therapy program, or clinical intervention.
3. Medical Disclaimer
Ride It Out is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App does not provide therapy, counseling, or medical services of any kind. It is not designed to treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.

4. Subscriptions & Payments
Ride It Out offers both free and premium subscription tiers.
Free tier
Free users receive a limited number of sessions per month for Feel It and Breathe It. The Face It tool is always free with no session limits.
Premium subscription
The premium subscription ("Ride It Out Pro") unlocks unlimited sessions and additional features. Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Apple App Store.
Billing and cancellation
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, audio, and software — are the exclusive property of Ride It Out and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the App without prior written permission.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ride It Out and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
